Album by Cortney Bishop

For Charleston by Design, Cortney Bishop presents album, her curated platform for collectible art and design, as a focused physical exhibition of one-of-a-kind works. Set within a 1,000-square-foot gallery environment, approximately twenty works are arranged in a considered spatial composition.

The presentation centers on form, proportion, and material expression. Furniture, artwork, and objects are treated as standalone works — architectural in scale, resolved in detail, and presented as collectible design. The installation reflects album’s ongoing interest in the people behind the work — artists, musicians, and makers — and the cultural narratives carried through form.

For over two decades, Bishop has shaped custom residences and creative communities with bi-coastal developers such as Jamestown and East West Partners, earning a reputation for spaces that feel layered, storied, and enduring. With Album, she brings that sensibility into curation, assembling a selection of unique pieces defined by presence and point of view.
